A scalable Lean principles-based batch picking system

The Cart

Introducing Lito’s Picking Cart – an unparalleled ergonomic solution designed with a versatile, adaptable structure that revolutionizes your workflow. Lito’s Cart offers the lighter open-access design (non-caged, 360° toads accessibility), combining extreme robustness with ergonomically optimized features and the unique advantage of self-molded racks. Its patented characteristics empower Lito Material Handling Automation, to seamlessly adhere to a Customer’s Self-Assembly policy, complemented by On-Site System Commissioning, or tailored Engineer-To-Order Services to meet your specialized requirements.

Technology

Lito’s Cart features cutting-edge technological components with low power consumption, ensuring extended battery life for uninterrupted operations. With its single-move battery exchange capability and its 'Play Where Posed' capability on power supply interruption, it maintains business continuity even in multi-shift environments.

Operators benefit from an 8-inch heavy-duty touchscreen for intuitive navigation, while a 2D barcode scanner streamlines trip loading tasks, and SKU validation. Slot-light tags provide clear toad quantity indication for valid SKUs, ensuring accurate dispatched quantity confirmation.

Optionally, a motion-assisted drive enhances ergonomics and minimizes performance fatigue, ideal for frequent stops or heavy loads.

Lito’s batch picking system includes standard workflow features for printing packing slips, labels, or other shipping documents directly from the back office system upon trip completion. For added flexibility, carts can be equipped with mobile barcode printers as needed.

Software

Lito’s batch picking service utilizes Unix-based embedded software to manage cart operations, execute loaded trips, and seamlessly integrate feedback into your back-office system for further processing. The scalability of your cart fleet directly impacts your order fulfillment capacity, allowing for flexible expansion and efficient scaling. Simply augment your fleet with additional carts to bolster distribution center operations, with each unit autonomously selecting trips from your back-office order picking lists pool.
